PANJIT International Inc. has announced the approval by its Board of Directors to acquire a 95% equity stake in TOREX Vietnam Semiconductor Co., Ltd., a key manufacturing subsidiary of Japan-based Torex Semiconductor Ltd. The move strengthens PANJIT’s international production network and reinforces its strategic roadmap for global expansion and IC business development.
This acquisition builds upon the Memorandum of Understanding signed earlier this year between PANJIT and Torex, and underscores PANJIT’s commitment to building resilient and geographically diversified manufacturing capabilities amid growing geopolitical complexities and shifting global supply chain dynamics.
Strengthening Presence in Southeast Asia
Located in the Vietnam–Singapore Industrial Park II near Ho Chi Minh City, Torex Vietnam has been operational since 2008 and specializes in semiconductor packaging and testing, with particular expertise in Ultra Small Package (USP) technology—renowned for enabling some of the world’s most compact package sizes. PANJIT plans to optimize the facility’s capacity to align with its long-term strategic objectives, including the ramp-up of automotive-grade power discrete device production.
The acquisition enhances PANJIT’s supply chain agility and scalability in Southeast Asia, a key region for electronics manufacturing growth, while supporting the company’s drive to meet customer needs with more flexible and responsive production options.

PANJIT’s Board of Directors announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Torex Semiconductor Ltd. (Torex) regarding the potential sale or transfer of all or part of Torex’s shares in its subsidiary, TOREX VIETNAM SEMICONDUCTOR CO., LTD. (TVS), to PANJIT.
Following a potential share transfer, PANJIT would hold a majority stake in TVS and acquire its production lines for the manufacture of PANJIT products. Torex would continue to outsource the production of its products to TVS, ensuring a stable supply.
