Micro Commercial Components introduced the MBRB40xxCTQ and MBRD20xxCTQ series, a new family of automotive-grade surface-mount Schottky barrier rectifiers designed for high-current power conversion in demanding environments.
The new devices are available in compact DPAK (TO-252) and thermally efficient D2-PAK (TO-263) packages, supporting high power density designs while enabling effective heat dissipation. These rectifiers are optimized for applications requiring controlled power loss, stable electrical performance and long-term reliability.
The series features low forward voltage drop, typically below 0.93 V, which helps reduce conduction losses and improve overall system efficiency. Fast switching performance with low stored charge supports high-frequency operation, making the devices suitable for modern power conversion architectures.
Designed for automotive and industrial use, the rectifiers are qualified to AEC-Q101 standards and feature UL-rated molded packaging along with MSL 1 reliability classification. Depending on the model, the devices support maximum junction temperatures of up to 150 °C or 175 °C, ensuring stable operation under high thermal stress.
The MBRB40xxCTQ and MBRD20xxCTQ series targets a range of high-power applications, including automotive power systems, industrial power supplies and high-frequency conversion stages, where efficiency, thermal performance and reliability are critical.
