Infineon Technologies AG has been recognized with the Bosch Global Supplier Award 2025 in the category “Materials and Components.” The award honors Infineon’s exceptional performance in innovation and product development in microcontrollers and power electronics, as well as its long-standing partnership with Bosch.
“We are very proud to have received a Bosch Global Supplier Award,” said Peter Schiefer, President of the Automotive Division at Infineon. “This recognition is a powerful confirmation of our commitment to innovation, quality, and operational excellence, and reflects the strength of our collaboration with Bosch. Together, we will continue developing cutting-edge technologies that support the evolution of software-defined, zero-emission vehicles.”
Arne Flemming, Head of Supply Chain Management at Bosch, emphasized the importance of the partnership: “With the Bosch Global Supplier Award, we honor our best suppliers and service providers. The recipients represent the top tier of our 35,000-strong global supplier network. Their contributions strengthen our innovative capability and competitiveness in a demanding market environment.”
The collaboration between Infineon and Bosch spans multiple generations of microcontrollers (MCUs) designed for evolving electronic and electrical (E/E) architectures that form the foundation of software-defined vehicles. Infineon’s comprehensive automotive portfolio includes microcontrollers, connectivity solutions, analog and sensor products, and power semiconductors, positioning the company as one of the few suppliers capable of supporting customers across the entire automotive system landscape.
Bosch also recognized Infineon for its significant investments in advanced manufacturing technologies, including 300-millimeter silicon wafer production and wide-bandgap materials such as gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC). These investments form the backbone of future automotive innovation. In 2026, Infineon is set to open its new 300-millimeter Smart Power Fab in Dresden, Germany, further expanding its production capacity for next-generation automotive solutions.
The Bosch Global Supplier Awards are presented biennially to suppliers demonstrating outstanding performance in quality, sustainability, cost efficiency, and innovation. This year, 49 suppliers from 14 countries were recognized under the theme “Challenge accepted: resilient partnerships, sustainable future.”
This marks the fifth time Infineon has received the prestigious award, underscoring its role as a trusted partner to Bosch and a driving force in advancing automotive electronics worldwide.
